Conflict Sensitivity

We support project teams in understanding their context and operating in a conflict-sensitive way to achieve better outcomes for communities. This includes regular conflict analysis and capacity building throughout the project cycle.

Conflict-Sensitivity

We support project teams to develop a better understanding of the complexities of the context where they are working to support affected population on the ground and operate in a conflict sensitive way to achieve better outcomes for the communities, by conducting regular conflict analysis at national regional, and local levels.

We support project teams to mainstream conflict sensitivity into programming, by building the teams capacity to integrate conflict sensitivity into their activities while accompanying them during the whole cycle of the project. From the identification to the identification and design phases of the project cycle to the evaluation phase.

Conflict Analysis

During the inception phase of the project, a thorough conflict analysis is conducted taking into consideration the national, regional, and local dynamics. The analysis is kept updated during the implementation phase, to be able to assess the changes in conflict dynamics that might happen. The conflict analysis includes:

  • Analysis of international, national, and local conflict dynamics, affecting the project(indirectly or directly).
  • Identification of local conflicts, actors involved, factors contributing to the conflicts, including dividers and connectors of community members.
  • Assessment of the consequences of the violent/armed conflicts over targeted population.
